The last time I knitted this jumper, it sold at the very next craft fair that I went to. I am not sure whether it was the colour or the pattern, but I have done it in the same colour this time.

There is so much knitting that I want to get done for the craft fairs this year. I never seem to have enough of something!

Last year it was cardigans, everyone wanted a cardigan. So this year, I will be trying to knit more cardigans along with as many jumpers and jackets/coats as I can manage.

Not to mention all the scarfs, both aran and lace that I want to get done.

There just isn’t enough hours in the day or energy in the body. (sigh)

I have managed to get a few lace triangles knitted, but just haven’t had time to take photos and blog about them.

I am currently knitting a Hydrangea lace scarf and a Kid Silk Haze scarf. One is good for tv knitting and the other is for when there is nothing to watch on tv.

Hopefully, one of these will be finished in the next couple of days and I will be able to blog about it.

You can’t really see the pattern properly, but this was the best I could do.

The customer also ordered a beret and a scarf in the same Chocolate Brown Aran yarn.

I also finished a childs aran cardigan and beret in cream, and a childs aran jumper, but I didn’t manage to get photos of them.

I will be in Aberdeen on both Saturday and Sunday and I have a couple of customers coming to pick up their orders.

I just have to get buttons for the neck opening and then I will be able to post it off to the customer.

The pattern is from Patons Aran Knitting Booklet PBN J 364 – Railway Kids – 10 Designs in Aran for 1 to 7 years.

It is pattern 7 in the booklet which is titled “Traditional Sweater” and is the first size.

The customer asked for a 20″ and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is big enough but if it isn’t I should still have time to knit the next size up if it is needed.

I will have to get into town early in the morning and then post it off on Tuesday morning.

This one is an order and I will be phoning the customer later today. I hope she likes it!

Please excuse the look on my daughters face. I normally remove her and the background from the photo, but I though the hood would look strange with no head in it.

The pattern is from Sirdar Pattern Booklet 295 “Relax in Aran” and is Design H
This is the first size of the pattern which is a 32/34″ and the pattern goes up to 52/54″ so it would fit a wide range.

I have knitted this pattern several times. You can see the Jacket version here and here is the coat knitted in cream aran.

In total, I think I have knitted this pattern about 10 times! And I am sure I will be knitting it again before I am finished.

I have been busy over the past couple of weeks trying to knit orders and to keep my stock going as best I can for the craft fairs and I haven’t had time to post some of the things that I have already finished.

So here are a couple of FOs.

This 3/4 length jacket was one of the orders I received at my first craft fair in September.

The customer, who was a fellow crafter, really likes it and has worn it to every craft fair since she got it!

She is willing to model it for my customers and tells everyone where she got it so it is great advertising for me!

This childs Aran cardigan was also an order from the same craft fair.

The customer liked it so much, she has asked me to knit it again in cream, and she also wants a jumper, scarf and beret for herself.

Finally, I managed to knit this jumper for stock. Unfortunatly, it was sold the first day it was on the table.

The pattern was one of my mothers and it probably for the 60′s/70′s.

It was fun to knit and was quite quick to knit up.

I should be finished my next order on the list in the next couple of days and should be able to post a photo then.

It is a 36/38″ jacket with shawl collar and is knitted in “Graphite” Aran, 25% wool, 75% Acrylic.

I started it on the 5th and finsihed on the 14th of September.

The pattern is:-

Sirdar 295 “Relax in Aran” Book - Design H

I had a hard time trying to find buttons for this jacket. I eventually managed to get 12 black buttons in a shop in Inverurie. 6 buttons were used for this jacket and 6 for the 2nd order, which was a longer 3/4 length coat.

I will post the details of my next completed order in a couple of days, I am just waiting for a nice day to take some photos.

I finally managed to get all of my orders done, so that I am ready just in case I get some more orders at my first craft fair on the 5th.

The first of two orders that I have recently finished was for 4 baby cardigans.

There is two in cream and two in pink.

One of two patterns used is an old pattern, although I am not sure how old and was used for the top two cardigans in the picture.

Pattern Details:-

Wendy No. 406 18/20 chest, 4ply or Courtelle

The second pattern details:-

Peter Pan P221 a Wendy design in 4ply

I am not sure if either of these patterns are still available, but I am sure the designs have probably been reprinted in more recent patterns.

The cream yarn that I used was a baby 4ply and looks a bit lemon if you are not in a very good light but it turned out ok in the end and the customer was very happy with them!

My second and final completed order was this orange “Gents” Aran Cardigan.

It is the same pattern as was used for the green Gents Aran and was knitted for the same customer, who was delighted with the finished garment!

This was another old pattern and again I don’t know how old.

I really don’t think you will be able to go into your LYS and buy this pattern anymore. The price on the front was 10 pence!

All the pattern says is that it is a Marriner Design. It is knitted in Aran yarn.

The picture isn’t very good although it does show you the brightness of the colour. The pattern does stand out better when it is infront of you but you can see the pattern better if you go to this post that has a picture of the green version.

Since finishing these two orders, I have been knitting stock for the craft fairs and putting labels on everything. I am hoping that I won’t forget something.

I will let you know how I get on and I may take some pictures of my stall and post it next week.

Not really sure when I started it, but I got as far as the raglan shaping on the second sleeve and had to wait for more wool to come from the customer so that I could finish it, and of course they were away on holiday for a couple of weeks!

I finally go the extra wool and finished knitting and sewing it up only to be told that the customer will be away for another two weeks and won’t be back until after the 29th July!

So I have finally finished and it is now all parceled up ready to go in the post.

Don’t you just love the colour?!!

I have another one of these cardigans to knit for the same people, (it is a company in London who sells them) but they want me to wait until they receive this one before I start on the second one, just to make sure I have done it right.

The second one is to be in a lovely orange colour! Certainly not my taste but someone must like the colours or they wouldn’t be getting me to knit them!

I have not been able to get online much lately due to the very bad thunder storms we have been having, but keep your fingers crossed that they won’t last much longer!

I have been doing some more lace knitting!

Hopefully I will finish soon and be able to post some pics!

It is knitted in Robin Aran which is 25% wool, 75% acrylic and is for a 4 to 5 year old.

It was fairly easy to knit up and I didn’t realise until I had nearly finished the second front, but I made a mistake with the center cable. I didn’t bother to change it because I think it looks ok as it is
