This is the second 4ply baby jacket/cardigan for a customer. It turns out that all 4 garments have the front band sewn on rather than knitted on, which I don’t like doing, but I have managed to do it and they look ok.
This one has garter stitch bands and a decorated raglan.
I did quite enjoy knitting this one and because the pattern is only 1 panel on each of the fronts, and the back and sleeves are plain, it knitted up quite quickly.
This one has ribbed borders and took a little longer to knit, but was still a quick knit.
The back and sleeves are plain and there is a simple lace panel up the fronts.
I am nearly finished the 4th garment for this order. I just need to sew on the front bands and buttons.
I should have it done and photographed by tomorrow.

It’s so beautiful. I love it!
very,very beautiful.
I am absolutely useless at knitting but would love to purchase 4 little newborn coats hand knitted in cream or very light fawn and would love the ones shown above on this website and wondered if you could advise me of what I need to do for this. It would be good to have two for newborn and two for 6 months. i can do easy things like blankets but no good at reading a pattern.
I look forward to hearing from you. My daughter’s baby is due in October.
