The pattern is from “Hats On!” by Charlene Schurch I remember when I was maybe 12 or 13 knitting a Fair Isle jumper and doing the yoke on a circular needle but I haven’t done anything like it since. Everything went fine until I got to the crown shaping. I am used to written instructions and this pattern has a chart instead. By the time I had finished the hat I had gotten the hang of reading the pattern properly, but I don’t think my mistakes have made much of a difference and the hat fits my partner David and it looks ok. I just used some of my odd balls of Aran to do the hat and it didn’t take much yarn and it only took an evening in front of the tv to get it done, so I will be doing some more of these to use up some of the boxes of odd balls that I have. :) Technorati Tags: Aran, circular knitting, Hand Knitting, knitting in the round, two colour patternIf you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.
