I know, I am a bit late in wishing you all a Happy New Year, but the weather has been so cold here that I didn’t feel like moving away from the fire long enough to blog!
The temperature got as low as -14c here in our part of the NE of Scotland. Christmas and New Year were both very quiet for us. Both of my parents passed away in December/January, so it is not my favourite time of year, so I mainly kept warm and did my knitting
I have knitted many things since my last post, but haven’t taken photos of them all yet, some are needing blocked etc, but I will get around to doing it eventually.
One of the items that I have completed is this:-
It is from the Flower Basket Lace Shawl pattern. I did the smallest size in 100% Merino Laceweight 2 ply yarn. I can’t for the life of me remember where I bought the yarn. I do know that I bought it online.
The colour is Blackcurrant and 100g = 1500m
The pattern was fairly simple and easy to follow. It is by Evelyn Clark and if you are a member of Ravelry, you can find all the details Here You must be logged in to view.
This is the Hydrangea Lace Scarf by Eugen K. Beugler and you can find all the pattern details on Ravelry.
I knitted it in plain old 4ply yarn and I am very please with how it turned out.
I know I will be knitting more of these for various reasons, for various people.
It was fairly quick to knit up so will be great for gifts etc.
Because of the weather, I haven’t ventured outside to take photos, so these are not the best.
I am hoping to get a lot of knitting done this year, both for gifts, myself and stock for the craft fairs in the second half of the year.
