Kilt Socks – Finished

Kilt SocksI have wanted to knit a pair of kilt socks for as long as I can remember, and now I have finally done it!

I can’t show you the two socks as I no longer have them. A friend is getting married next year and he will be wearing a kilt. His fiancee has the socks at the moment and will let me know if she wants me to make socks for the other 3 men who will be wearing kilts.

I have a feeling that I will be sick of the sight of them by the time I am finished.

Cuff Detail These are knitted in DK and I have used Wendy Mode Double Knitting which is 50% Merino Wool/50% Fine Arcrylic

I have put a thistle detail in the cuff, but the pattern also had a stags head and a cable cuff.

The pattern was one that my mother has had for years although I have seen it in my lys recently.
