Shoulder Shawl - Nearly Finished

Shoulder Shawl - Blocking

I have done the shoulder shawl, although I had to do it a bit shorter than the pattern said as I wasn’t sure if I would have enough yarn to do it to the specified length.

I haven’t done the knitted-on border yet either. I did try, but I got all mixed up, so once it has dried, I will try to do the border again.

Stitch Detail - Shoulder Shawl

I tried to take a close up photo to show the stitch detail but it didn’t come out very clear.

I think I am going to have to start another hobby and learn to take better photos. :)

I really enjoyed knitting this pattern and if I had enough yarn I would have kept on knitting. It was fairly quick to knit up even although this is my first go at reading charts for lace knitting.

Hopefully, for my next lace project, I will be able to buy the yarn recommended in the pattern for the project and finish it properly. :)

Looks lovely to me. I’m just embarking on my first real lace project and I will be thrilled if mine comes out as well. I’ll look forward to seeing the next lace project.

It looks gorgeous, with such a light coloured yarn you might need a darker background to get a better picture & I find I can get better pictures if I take my item outside & photograph where I don’t need a flash (but not in direct sunlight).
