90+ 25g balls
I was subscribed to a weekly magazine called “The Art of Knitting” for about a year. Every month they sent you 4 issues of the magazine. With each issue you would get two 25g balls of DK yarn. Each issue had a pattern to knit a square which would make a big throw.
Needless to say, I didn’t have time to knit all the little squares and I am now left with all this yarn.
I have used 4 balls to make a draught excluder, but I don’t need any more of them.
If you have any suggestions on what I could knit with this, leave a comment.
Thanks

Perhaps sell them on etsy? Unless what you meant with doing is actually making something out of them…:)
Hi Thumbelyna,
but it may be worth considering as I have so much yarn and not enough time to knit it all. I don’t think I will get around to knitting with this, although I could knit some gloves/mitts!
I hadn’t thought of selling the yarn.
I too, have some of this yarn, in the winter i started knitting lots of childrens hats for the shoebox appeal and sent them to the shoebox people to put in the charity packs. You can get the details of the appeal and knitty patterns on this site http://www.operationchristmasc.....tmas-child they have simple patterns for knitted hat, glove puppet and little christmas dolls. A nice simple hat project, perhaps in stripes. You could do a few for this christmas coming and find your local collection online and send. All for a good cause. Cheersxxx pippa
Hi Philippa, That is a great idea and thanks for the link. I have added a graphic to my side bar for this and I will make sure and knit up some projects for this christmas.

Hi there. If anyone has odd yarn they need to use up, may I suggest a charity site? They will take blanket squares, completed blankets, childrens and baby items; please see the site here: http://algerianaction.wordpress.com/tag/algeria/
