Denim Aran Cardigan
Posted on | April 17, 2008
I haven’t managed to get online for some time due to my Broadband going on the fritz. We finally managed to get our provider out to fix it and I am now back online!
I have managed to get a few things knitted over the past while, one of which is this Aran Cardigan, with a collar.
The picture doesn’t do it justice, but it really turned out nice.
I will probably knit some more in other colours and sizes, this one is knitted in Denim and is size36/38″.
I will get some more photos of the other things that I have finished over the past couple of weeks online as soon as possible.

White aran cardigan finished and ready to go!
Posted on | March 29, 2008
I finally managed to get the white aran cardigan washed and dried flat.
The dirty marks that were made while knitting have gone, so I won’t need to knit it again.
I spent a lot of time online this week, adding more patterns, yarn and books to my collection. One of the books I bought was Victorian Lace Today by Jane Sowerby. I really want to do some lace knitting and this book was recommended on one of the many blogs that I read, so I thought I would give it a try.
I will let you know how I get on.

Finally Finished The Back
Posted on | March 16, 2008
I finally managed to finish the back of the white aran cardigan.

The back of any garment always takes the longest time to do.
I will start the pocket linings and the front today.
Hopefully, it won’t take much longer now to get it finished, although the sewing up will take a while.
I took a break from knitting last night after I had finshed the back and I started reading one of my knitting magazines.
This led me back to the computer to check out some of the yarn suppliers featured in the magazine.
By midnight last night, I was reading all about Shetland lace and wanting to try it as soon as possible.
I will let you know how I get on and I will add some of the links to suppliers that I found.

More White Knitting
Posted on | March 13, 2008
I got another order for a white cardigan. This time it is for a ladys 40″ aran cardigan.
I started knitting the rib for this last night and then I was out most of the day getting fertiliser for the garden.
So I have not managed to get much of it done yet, but I have managed to establish the pattern, so I will sit down tonight and get some done while I am watching my TV programs.
I knitted this pattern for myself last year and I wore the cardigan the last time I went to see this customer, and she liked the look of it and decided she would like it in white.
I hate knitting with white! It never looks clean and I feel paranoid about getting it dirty and end up washing my hands all the time and they get all dried out and sore. I will just have to get on with it and get it done as quickly as possible.
I will let you know how I get on with it.
